Destiny of Shattered Dreams: Book Review

Book Blurb
An insider’s view into what goes on behind the glittering facade of corporate stardom, DESTINY of SHATTERED DREAMS is a fast-paced
tale of a brilliant young man’s meteoric rise. It is also a moving portrayal of the fallibility of love.

Ambition, passion
and raw courage are Atul Malhotra’s key aides to realizing his dreams as he learns the art of gambling for high stakes. What follows is a game of treachery, infidelity and murder.

The book lays bare the sordid corporate-politico nexus that compels this once middle-class boy to deftly learn the ropes and negotiate a world where dirty deals and power plays can make or break lives, where one wrong choice could be fatal.

A tale of yachts and hidden Swiss accounts, sordid affairs of lust, intrigue and exhilarating highs, Nilesh Rathod’s Destiny of Shattered Dreams is also the story of innocence forever lost.

Review
The story is about broken person and his journey in the corporate world battling with the coming odds. The person, protagonist, Atul Malhotra, is a 35 year old and is founder of a billion dollar enterprise, TTL.

The author wonderfully portrayed the protagonist’s personal and professional lives. The character of Atul is written strong and compelling.

At certain points, it feels like a too-much-business discussed in the book. This might be a turn off for a few readers. The way Atul deceives Roshni, was also not worthy sight.

The story moves at a decent pace, making it an easy one time read. The narration part and the language used is also appreciable. Both parts helped making this book an easy and entertaining one time read.

The book is connecting, and hence readers will fail to put this down without finishing it first.

The hindi lines used amidst the story are wonderful and intriguing. Here’s one of them-

Waqt masiha hai, har gum ko samaa lega,

Lekin waqt hai, waqt lega…

The novel is, overall, a quality work by the debut author, Nilesh Rathod.

Book Cover and Title
The title and the book cover are justifying and complementing each other.

Kudos to the author, Nilesh Rathod, for writing this beautiful art.
